The complexity of the HEART project arises from the variety of required expertise that implies knowledge from medicine/biology, computational fluid dynamics, mechanics, electrical and computing domains.

  • Proposed multi-scale model of the coronary cicrculation

The inter-influence between the systemic and the local hemodynamics and the high computational requirements of 3D simulations have lead to the concept of geometrical multi-scale modeling of blood flow, which is here applied in order to analyze the coronary circulation.

  • Medical Image Processing software (Siemens) for anatomical assessment of coronary stenosis.
