Alexandru Itu holds MSc and PhD degerees  from Universitatea Transilvania Braşov in informatics and industrial engineering, respectively. The PhD thesis was: Contribution to grasping strategies in real and virtual environments using a three fingered anthropomorphic gripper. His main research interests are: 3D simulation, 3D computer graphics, machine learning, image and video processing, software architecture and robotics.He has published 13 scientific papers, 11 as first author.
