Dan Ştefănoiu


Dan Ştefǎnoiu graduated and holds a MSc degree in Automatics and Computer Science from Universitatea Politehnica Bucureşti. He  is, also,  M.Sc. in Mathematics at Universitatea Bucureşti. He received a PhD degree in Automatic Systems from Universitatea Politehnica Bucureşti in 1995. He is Professor at the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Science. His main research interests cover Applied Mathematics in Informatics, Signal Processing, Data and Signal Compression, Evolutionary programming and strategies. Professor Ştefǎnoiu has been visiting professor or research fellow at universities from Finland and Canada. He has been involved in various national and international projects. He is author and co-author of 20 books, over 120 papers and 2 pending patents. Professor Ştefǎnoiu is PhD advisor.
